July 22nd, Two days down..One more to go

Ok, here are the Courage Classic pictures. So much fun…first day Leadville around Turquoise Lake and up and down Fremont Pass. Good time. 2nd day is down and we did 65+ miles today. My butt’s a little sore but overall I’m doing alright. One more day tomorrow which is about another 50 and should be a lot of climbing. The Courage Classic is in support of Children’s Hospital. We heard from some of the parents last night who have kids that have been treated at Children’s. It’s an amazing place that does so much to help these sick children get better and help their parents through the entire process.

Black and Tan Extravagan Commercials

Check out my two commercials for the Black and Tan Extravagan. We have a few more in the works so stay tuned! I’m having trouble creating a link, I think because they are password protected, so you might have to copy and paste them into the URL. Password is blackandtan.

Let me know what you think! They were shot by Buddy Thomas with Amplified Visions. He’s fantastic!

I had a great shoot today for Wal-Mart. Great group of people to work with and I got to demonstrate my best talent – shopping. Watch for the commercial which will be on the air on our local channels within 48 hours comparing Walgreens and Wal-Mart.

The last day of filming with Tipping Point is tomorrow. Below are a couple of pictures from my shoot with them. It’s been a lot of fun, great cast and crew!

Have you ever seen anything so cute? Meet….Bandito! Or Taco….! I’m not sure which name fits him best quite yet. But he’s definitely a spanish cat so either Bandito or Taco it will be.

It was an interesting week trying to get back in the groove after the holiday. I had a shoot with Worldwide (www.markwoolcottphotography.com) on Monday. It was a pin- up shoot so I’ll post some of those pictures once I get them back. We had beautiful clothes from Creme de la Couture (cremedelacouture.com) and awesome hair by Jesse Arana and make up from Kara Criswell. Pin up is probably not really my forte, come to find out. It was a fun shoot, though, and we definitely got some good pics.

I have two new shoots coming up for Coleman with a total of 14 models. So this past week I got the models picked out and emailed so that took quite a bit of time. I had a few auditions and did a little voice over work but other than that it was a relatively quiet week. The calm before the storm….

gFriend is starting up again. We had plans to start next week but we’re putting it until the week after to make sure we have the scripts in order. I have the army training video for Tipping Point next week and a couple of other shoots planned. I’m going to do a running shoot at Roxborough, which will be cool. Check out the pictures on the behind the scenes page of some of the amazing shots you can get around Roxborough. Great location to shoot.

That’s about it for now. I’ll add more shortly when there’s a bit more to tell. Mainly I’m just laying low and hanging with El Bandito/Taco. Baby kitties are the best.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

It’s a slow week with the holiday right smack dab in the middle. I’ve been able to spend some time up in the mountains enjoying all the wonders we call Colorado. On a sadder note, my cat of 17 years died yesterday. He will be missed much.

Next week I have a shoot with the fantastic Mr. Woolcott (aka Worldwide). We’re doing a pin up shoot for Creme de la Couture. I haven’t done any pin up shoots, nor really had the desire to up to this point, but with the fabulous Jesse Arana doing hair and the talented Kara Criswell on make up, I know it’s going to be hot. We’ll be shooting at The Old Studio. Check it out, great space to shoot and totally affordable.

I tried to post a link to my new Circle K commercial but for some reason it’s saying that the video doesn’t exist. I’ll try to figure it out and post it later.  So instead are a couple pictures from a shoot with Simple J Photographer from a month or two back.

I think it’s sad that our pets don’t live as long as we do. I get it, the reason for why they don’t live as long, but it’s still sad. I have an old cat and he’s not doing well. Makes me sad.

But…thankfully I have other happy things in my life. Like beer. Today I had a shoot for this nifty little gadget  called the Black and Tan Extravaganz. It makes the perfect black and tan and is so easy to use (check out my behind the scenes section for pictures). We filmed two commercials and have a few more in the works for the next couple of months. My friend Buddy was the videographer (from the Chinese/English lessons) and it was a great time. Nothing better than acting, pouring beer and then what do you do with the poured beer? Hate to be wasteful so you drink the wonderful, poured beer, so as to not be wasteful, of course.  Isn’t my job fun?

The last couple of days I’ve been playing an Army Sergeant for an Army training video. I need some pictures of this because seriously, I have never looked so bad. Well, to be completely truthful I look pretty bad after marathons and after having the flu but this is definitely a close runner up. AND…I was a sergeant. I was the second in command which was pretty bad-ass. We had a lot of fun although they were very long days. Good times overall and great people. I enjoyed it.

Two more production shoots coming up for the camping company. Need lots of models so hit me up if you’re interested. We finished the casting for Clinch Gear and got three awesome football guys. When I say awesome, I really mean hot.

I have a few things upcoming but next week is all relaxation (I think and hope). I’ll fill you all in as it comes. Happy 4th!

Week of June 18th, 2012

I am so craving some crappy comfort food right now. I have no idea what food that would be, though. Actually, maybe a cheese stick and some almonds. Bummer, I’m out of cheese sticks but the almonds are yummy.

So, here’s the scoop for the past and upcoming week.

Last week I didn’t have a lot going on, which was nice. I needed to catch up on sleep, baby my ankle and get ready for a trip. I went out of town for a few days so it was hard to schedule much and unfortunately I ended up having to turn down a few jobs. I really don’t go out of town too much but it seems that whenever I do I miss something great in terms of work. Actually, though, the day I was leaving I got a call about casting a shoot for an MMA brand that is taking place this weekend. So I’ve been working on that casting four men, ages 21-27, that play football, do cross fit or wrestle. Yes. I know. I have a really hard life.  I had to work on my vacation so that entailed sitting by the pool looking at pictures of guys with their shirts off. You gotta do what you gotta do to get the work done. 🙂

I have a shoot coming up next week for an Army training type of video. I’m playing the role of an army sergeant so that will be fun and something a little bit different from what I’ve done in the past.

I’m also filming some videos for a new product for beer. It’s a handy little product so I’ll post the videos once they’re done. Should be a fun shoot and I think one of my friends is going to be the videographer so that would be nice. I think we can get creative with this shoot and try out a few different variations as we move along.

Those shoots and the ones I’m casting should take me through early July and into the 4th. I keep thinking I’ll have some downtime but so far it hasn’t really happened, which is great. I am thankful everyday that work has been going so strong. I love what I do and the opportunities I’ve had. I love getting to know the people I’ve met and I know that I wouldn’t have had these great jobs without some wonderful friends and colleagues. And happy birthday to my dear friend Carrie as well. You don’t look a day past 30. Love you!

Below is also a commercial I filmed a week or two back.

And it is done. The Hind shoot is over and all went smooth. 16 hour days, slightly delirious and totally stupid by Friday but it was awesome. Special thanks to the entire crew because you guys rock. I was missing everyone on Friday. It’s that weird sort of lost feeling once you get done spending a lot of time with people. So now what….no seriously, so now what? Well, Bare Naked Ladies at Red Rocks tonight and then I’m working a corporate team building event on Monday building bikes for kids. Then a bit of traveling which will be nice. I need a little bit of a break….

Oh yeah, I twisted my ankle on the second day as well. I rolled it and then over corrected and heard two pops. The swelling is gross but I sort of dig the black and blue.

Week of May 31st

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone had a nice Monday off.  Sure makes the week go quickly. Maybe a little too quickly, I’m so behind….

Awesome week this week…here are the fun little details.

Tuesday was my first shoot as a production manager with the national camping company I’m working with. It was a success. I think the most worrisome part for me is that all the models will show up. Having to rely on others is hard at times since that’s the one factor I can’t control. Everyone got there, the shoot went off without a hitch and I think the client was pleased. We have another one tomorrow and one on Monday of next week as well. I’m doing wardrobe on the one tomorrow as well so that’s been fun.

Wednesday was Circle K day. I Love Circle K day. We filmed another commercial since they changed their big drinks from Thirst Buster to Polar Pops. We’re supposed to film a few more later on this summer and then I’m doing some car wash videos for them as well. Yay. Love Circle K. They’re so fun to work with. Very creative and funny people.

Today was fun but a bit stressful. I had a commercial I filmed for a law office in Boulder at 9 AM and then two more commercials for Sphero, a robotic ball controlled by an iPhone. We had one more we wanted to film but we ran out of time since my fake husband, Steve again (refer to the behind the scenes tab), had to go back and film another scene for the law office commercial where he played my ex husband. He’s the same guy that played my husband for the American Recreation shoot. So I guess we do well together, or not together. 🙂 The Sphero guys have a few more commercial ideas so I’m going back up to Boulder either tomorrow or Sunday to do a few more.

Tomorrow I have the another shoot that I’m managing and a few meetings for my big two day shoot next week that I’m managing. We’re coming down to crunch time and are finalizing models and locations. I love to see it all come together but right now I have so many details in my head that I wake up at 3 AM and send myself emails to remember to do stuff. Check out our amazing photographer Tim Kemple at www.timkemple.com.  I’ll post some behind the scene pictures from that shoot since it’s going to be fantastic. How could it not with Tim behind the camera?

So, that’s this week. My computer is dying so I must find a plug. Next week is going to be CR-A-Z. Shoot again everyday. I booked a Wal-Mart commercial, too. For some reason that cracks me up. I play myself. Apparently I’m good as myself. Who knew???  On Tuesday we have a kick off barbecue for talent and staff for our Wednesday and Thursday shoot so it’ll be early to bed since we’re shooting from sun up to sun down. So totally cool. I LOVE IT!!!!

Below are some pics from this past week. The first is Circle K Alex. He is an awesome actor and an up and coming director in LA. Watch for him, he’s going places!  The premise is he hears noises and thinks I’m cheating on him in the bedroom but I’m actually just bouncing up and down on the bed with my Polar Pop. Yes. I enjoyed this role. Part dingy, part bouncy and totally thirsty. Again, played myself.

The second one is from my lawyer commercial today where I’m fighting with Steve over custody of the kids. I think he wins. Notice the same shirt from the picture below. This is my new standard outfit for when I’m told to “bring work clothes”. I don’t even unpack them. They’re in a little hanging case that I just carry with me. How’s that for efficiency??? I so impress myself.

Week of May 20th, 2012

The shoot with Joe Morahan finally took place and we got lucky! It was a perfect day weather wise, in the early 80’s with just a little bit of a breeze. The lovely Kara Criswell was on hand for make up and my awesome friend and hair stylist, Timka (can’t ever spell her last name), did my hair. These girls rock. If anyone ever needs great hair and make up for a shoot (or otherwise), I can get you their information because they are phenomenal. Joe and his Bruce were handling the camera and Tiffany and Zoe were there to assist. What an awesome crew! We started shooting at a bus stop near Joe’s house and then moved to an amazing field by DIA where we shot probably about 50 yoga poses for 7 hours. The weather held out for us and even the farmer, whose field we apparently were shooting in, was supportive. I can’t wait to see the end result because from what I’ve seen, everything Joe does, is amazing. I’m hoping to get a chance to work with him and his team again very soon in whatever capacity. Some pictures from the shoot are below. iPhone quality only.
